S S Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre aim to go along with the world is constantly changing, and educational methods need to change with it, especially in the field of medicine. SSIMSRC is devoted in developing a critical, self-reliant and inquiring approach to medicine, flexible enough to prepare the student for the evolving future, without forgetting the value of traditional means and practices.While the nurturing of future doctors and medical scientists of the world is a priority at large, SSIMSRC always orients itself towards new in-roads into super-specialty areas that particularly benefit the rural population. Today we seek to bring the whole of central Karnataka under one medical umbrella, bringing to the doorstep of the poor, the latest medical facilities, as available anywhere in the world.Currently part of the central diagnostics facility of SSIMS&R, the Department of Microbiology is well equipped with research microscopes, fluorescent microscopes, dark ground microscope, ultra centrifuge, laminar air flow and sterilizing equipment.
